In November of 2009 I shared a story with you called “Integrity is still in the dictionary.” http://coachdonaldpayne.com/2009/11/02/integrity-is-still-in-the-dictionary/

In this article I shared information that indicated how hard work and persistence truly does have it’s rewards.

Fast forward to the present and I am proud to announce the partnership that was birthed that day. My good friend and president of Debt Free Army and Millionaire University Harold Herring (AKA Brother Harold) has decided to partner with me giving me full access to the many products that he has to offer.

To celebrate I am offering a 30% discount towards those products. To take advantage of this special follow the link http://bit.ly/4KpGzC upon check put type in the words “dpayne” in the coupon box. This will generate the 30% discount on your entire purchase.

Integrity and perseverance have created an opportunity that I am truly grateful for and I would love for you to share in this union. Also be sure to join me on my Facebook Millionaire University group page. Where wealth begins. http://bit.ly/4DEagR

Yes, the headline was correct, I am asking you to check your drawers. You may find that there is a financial breakthrough waiting for you there.

If you are like me then you probably take things at face value. However, this past weekend I became a believer in the hype surrounding info-commercials and windshield post it notes.

To my point, this past weekend I decided to take a friend up on his offer to buy or trade in my gold for cash. I assumed it was just a fancy way of getting me into their store to buy more stuff that I simply did not need. I looked in my drawers and jewelry box to see what I had and discovered that I really did not have that much (I stopped wearing jewelry many years ago). I gathered up what I had which was barely enough to fill up half a sandwich bag. To my surprise that small bag of abandoned jewelry had a cash value of about $900 and a trade in value of $1100. I was shocked! I asked him if he was just doing this because I was a friend he indicated that price of gold is up and so is the trade in value.

Needless to say I took him up on his offer and walked away with a nice chunk of change in my pockets.

If you are in need of a small financial breakthrough then you may need to check your drawers. This could be the answer to you have been looking for.

This was the first blog that I ever wrote, however based on what I am seeing today and based on what I have learned since I originally wrote this article, I felt the need to dig into the archives and revisit this little piece of commentary. In my original article I indicated that, “Today we are bombarded with get rich quick offers. These offers tell us that we can be overnight/internet sensations if we only buy a particular system.”

I also stated that,  “I am a firm believer in entrepreneurial enterprises. In fact I would have to say that being your own boss is probably the most satisfying experience a person can have. However, before you decide to jump on the “I’m Rich” bandwagon I suggest that you do the research.”

However what I did not know then that I know now has made the difference in eating crackers and cutting steak. I was focusing on the wrong things. I was focusing on statistics, wisdom and knowledge as it pertains to the entrepreneurial world of business. What I should have been focusing on was the how as opposed to the why. If you allow me to update my thoughts I would be much obliged.

Yes the rumors are true MLM companies are all the rage and yes, they are making a lot of people very wealthy, or if you prefer rich. However there are a couple of caveats that one has to keep in mind. In a nutshell one has to understand that just by joining an MLM doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be rich. The idea is to choose on that will really work for you one that saves you the hassle of constant cold calls or direct contact with potential prospects. This constant uphill battle can be achieved simply by choosing an MLM that offers some type of constant contact and an auto responder. Aweber and GetResponse can solve these problems for you.

The next on the list is getting with a program that offers you training, training and more training. In an MLM business you never want to stop learning. The Internet is forever changing so it should be assumed that you MLM business would change as well. My suggestion to this problem would be to find a reputable Internet Marketing professional that offers a proven system that works such as Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring System or his Black belt Recruiting system. Think about it without proper marketing and being unable to attract prospects your business will undoubtedly fail.

Last but definitely not least is to learn how to create your own web presence that will brand “You.” What does that mean? It means that you should create a web address that will make people want to click on your name link. Keep in mind you don’t want to get a clever name just to have a static (non- updatable) web site, What you want is to create a name and learn to mask it in you WordPress blog. GoDaddy has the tools that you need to achieve this goal.

Study, read, learn, do your due diligence. You can “Get Rich Quick” but I suggest you do the research. Napoleon Hill may have said it best when he said, “”Success Requires No Apologies. Failure Permits No Alibis.”

Yes, the headlines are true, if you are still running your home-based business in dinosaur mode than the statistics are against you. The Internet has changed the game and has taken small businesses from obscure blips on the screen to high ranking multimillion dollar franchises. No longer will going door to door to peddle your product give you the edge nor will placing a static website on the web hoping that someone will eventually take a chance and give you a click. Home parties are also becoming a thing of the past.

Many of the traditional home-based businesses are beginning to see the light. The realization of being the top dog in the market is quickly fading into oblivion. Their sale agents and staff have watched the little guy virtually knock on their front door. Some have even passed them by all together.

Why are they failing? The main reason that these top dogs are finding their tale between their legs is due to the fact that they are still depending on cold calls and callbacks. They are losing leads, which is the bloodline to any business. They have no way of reconnecting with a potential client after the party is over unless they constantly bug them at home or on their cell phone (Many people have also abandoned land lines). Building your business on the Internet gives you the power to have an auto-responder keep in contact with your potential clients, leaving you more time to do more important things such as generate more income. Hopefully you are beginning to understand that the Internet is much more than a place to check your email. The Internet is a network base and when all the pieces come together your home-based business can virtually run on auto-pilot.

There are some great programs available that can help you move your business from depressive to impressive in as little as six months. Thousands of people have made the transition into Internet marketing and are finding great success. Putting the pieces together does not have to be difficult because most of the work has already been done for you. All you have to do is agree to the terms and let the Internet work. Never let statistic dictate the success of you business. Statistics say that 95% of start up home-based businesses will fail within a year if they continue to do business without the Internet. The other 5% will become the leaders of the pack.

Happy Birthday Dr. Martin Luther King!

On January 18, 2010, in Uncategorized, by DonGP

Dr.King had a dream and we have a promise.

Giving honor to the father of the modern civil rights movement. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Martin Luther King was born  January  15, 1929 and died April 4, 1968. May his dream continue to be fulfilled.

How can I make such a bold statement? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Jack Canfield endorses the “Law of Attraction” and Mike Dillard offers “Attraction Marketing.” Whether or not Jack Canfield truly endorses Mike Dillard is beyond me. However, there is one thing you can rest your hat on, and that is having an understanding that both of these successful men cannot be wrong. Apparently attraction plays an important part in their success.

Just the other day Bob Proctor sent me a very informative video on how he achieved his success. I am not exactly sure how many times he may have mention the word attraction but I can tell you this he was very adamant about what attraction meant to his success.

Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring system is endorsed by most of the top MLM entrepreneurs. It has change the game and has taken the guess work out of network marketing. No more cold calls, no more putting fliers on cars parked in shopping malls across America. This system has changed the game!

Learn how the pros run their multi-million dollar MLM business virtually on autopilot. It’s time stop struggling in MLM. 95% of network marketers are still pulling their hair out and beating their head against the wall trying to find a solution. Magnetic Sponsoring System is the answer they have been looking for.

The choice is yours to make, Canfield, Proctor and Dillard all agree that attraction is your key to success. Are you ready?

The current economic condition has presented a new way of doing business. More and more people are discovering that a home based business or some other type of entrepreneurial adventure is their only option. In my personal opinion I would have to agree. Recent history has proven that large corporations, industrial businesses and stock investments can change in the blink of an eye. For this express reason one has to take matters into their own hands. However, with magnitude of opportunities, which one is the best one for you? Home-based businesses seem to be all the rage as well as “Mom and Pop” start up shops.

There are other questions such as, what types of business are you best suited for? Will the business you chose be a good investment? Does it have a proven return? What will a start up company cost me? Which one is more beneficial? These are all legitimate questions and questions that should be considered before you make a decision to control your own destiny. I am no professional on the subject but I can speak from experience. Some say experience is the best teacher and in my case experience has taught me a valuable lesson.

The main lesson that life has taught me is that it is important for one to be happy no matter what they do. Someone once said that if you love what you do than you will never work a day in your life.

Having your own business has its rewards but it also has its set of problems. The best thing to do is to count the cost. Ask yourself if you want to deal with employees or if you want to maintain a brick and mortar facility. Do you want to deal with payroll or compensation plans? Is spending time with your family important? Most self employed individuals spend more than the traditional 40 hours per week making sure their business efforts succeed. Their weekends are normally pre occupied with paperwork and their social evenings are generally cut short. For this expressed reason many self-employed people chose to work from home.

Working from home gives you the opportunity to see your children because your work schedule is flexible. The cost associated with working from home is also minimal because you have no overhead, no office garments to buy, no lunch to carry etc…  Maintaining a home-based business also gives you almost the same tax benefits that a brick and mortar business receives. I am not sure what side of the fence you are on but I like the idea of working from home.

Still not sure, many successful home-based business entrepreneurs make six or seven figures in one year! Granted they work hard but when one can scurry around the house in pajamas, take time to play with their children and spend time with their friend’s family and loved ones, that in my opinion makes it all worth while.

Twitter Me This…

On January 11, 2010, in Life, self-help books, Uncategorized, by DonGP

Twitter is suppose to be a place where one can socialize and network with various people all over the world. Some people prefer to use Twitter as a place to advertise their business, while others just want to meet other people with like minds. When you can only use 140 characters to express yourself you have to be careful as to how you communicate. I use Twitter for what it was intended to be and that is a micro blogging tool. Twitter for me is simply my world expressed in 140 characters. I also like to gain valuable information from those who have the same interest as me and who are willing to share content and resources. This is what makes Twitter a great networking tool.

Recently I have noticed that my follow/following count was erratically changing on a daily basis. I would meet new people who would request that I follow them and in return I wanted them to follow me back. This may seem like a simple task but to my surprise all these individuals where doing was increasing their follower count. This gives the appearance to other unsuspecting prospects that these individuals where popular and to busy to follow others back. Well enough is enough.

Twitter has become the new word of the day. Software developers are constantly creating more and more apps for Twitter. There are tons of books and e-books available telling you how one can get more followers and stand out above the rest. If you still have that high school mentality that makes you want to be the most popular person in the room I would suggest you pick up one of these great book. However if you just want to enjoy networking with people who want to network with you, than you should consider following those who want to follow you.

During my time of confusion to this matter I discovered a really clever program called “Friend or Follow” http://friendorfollow.com this program allows you to see whom you are following and who follows you back. At the time of this writing I discovered that I was wasting valuable 140-character speech on 393 who never see what I write. This ends today if you don’t need my conversation I don’t need you in my queue.

If you can read this then that means you are following me on Twitter and life is good. I refuse to waste my precious typing skills on someone who will never see what I am typing. I just want to be friends. I am not trying to win a popularity contest. Granted there are a few individuals that offer some great content and never follow anyone, these people I can live with but for the rest…Good Bye.
