Today it seems like every time you turn on the TV, pick up a paper or scan the Internet, someone has become a millionaire overnight. When you hear of this news do you always say, “Why can’t that be me?” Well, it can be. I believe a lot of people wait for something dramatic to happen to them before they step out and try to make a change in their lives. I want to encourage you to step out in faith in all things, even if they seem unreal or unreachable. I hear it all the time, people say, “Today, I am going to make a change or today I’m going to make a difference” but when the rubber meets the road, very few execute it. They just sit on their ideas and wait. Success separates those who can from those who sit on the can.
I have always told people that I have a lot of irons in the fire and that I am just waiting for one of them to get hot. Sure, some of my dreams may be stagnant, but I will continue to pursue them because I understand that life is what you make it and that everyday has to count.
I had a talk with a young man who wanted to learn more about real estate investments. Initially, he was a little discouraged because his credit was sub-par. But he wanted to get involved. I spent some time with him and explained a few different ways that he could purchase real estate without stellar credit, and he was floored. He assumed that his poor credit would be his dream killer. He was ready to give up before he even started.
This is the problem that many people face. They are ready to give up too easily. They get depressed, feeling that they don’t have what it takes to make it…but they do. All they need is some faith and a little ambition.
I encourage you to get motivated by your decision to succeed. Strike while the irons are hot because victory and triumph are waiting.
I Hate Debt!
Was that too harsh?
I hope it was, because I truly hate debt.
I was always taught not to hate anyone or anything but it’s time for me to break the rules (Mother forgive me) because I hate debt.
Was that too offensive?
I hope it was because I wanted it to be because I really hate debt.
I hate everything about it and no, I am not talking about the Debt that our Governments are plagued with. The Government has their own problems. I’m talking about good old-fashioned consumer debt, the type of debt that causes you to seek shelter from annoying phone calls and threatening letters. I’m talking about the type of debt that forces you to call the debt resolution team for some type of reprieve.
Why do I hate debt with such a passion? Let me tell you why…
• Debt is like a silent plague. It starts out as a minor bump but slowly starts to consume you until there is no sign of the original you left.
• Debt strangles the life away from you. Your life is no longer your own, it belongs to the bank.
• Debt is a killer and I mean that in a literal sense. Did you know that the word “Mortgage” was derived from two words “Death Grip?” Mort = Death and Gage = Grip. I believe years ago when the mortgage was invented it was clear that this type of loan would last until death do you part.
• True Fact: I know of at least seven people who have committed suicide. All of them had just one thing in common and that was the fact that they all had money issues. I haven’t checked the statistics on this one but I am sure that I am in the top majority.
• Debt is a destroyer. It destroys marriages. It destroys dreams and it destroys hope.
My wife often reminds me that debt is something that we all have to live with and I understand that. However, let me make it clear, just because you live with the enemy doesn’t mean that you have to succumb to the enemy.
Maybe I’m alone in this fight. Maybe I am the only one who is willing to embrace a debt free, financially stable lifestyle.
Maybe I am the only one who is willing to prioritize my life in a way that debt is no longer a factor. I know that when your priorities are correct, you preserve and protect your life. Correct priority is the principle of progress because when you establish your priority according to your purpose and goals then your progress is guaranteed. Correct priority simplifies your life.
Failure to establish correct priority causes you to waste your two most important commodities: your time and your energy. When your priorities are not correct, you will find yourself busy with the wrong things, majoring on the minor, or becoming preoccupied with the unimportant. Incorrect priorities in your life will cause you to invest in the less valuable and abuse your gifts and talents. Ultimately, it will cause you to forfeit purpose, which results in failure.
I’ve had my own struggles, so I know how hard it can be. I also know that one book on the subject is not nearly enough to fight this demon. People need details. They need resources. They need that constant push and most importantly they need help.
Do you hate debt as much as I do, then it’s time to stop procrastinating and start living the life you were intended to live.
The Debt Comforter
Would it help if I told you that there was a time in my life that I faced disappointment?
Would it help if I told you that there have been times that I stayed up all night crying?
Would it help if I told you that there was a period in my life that I wish I could forget?
No, it would not help. If I constantly shared my setbacks and discouragements with you, how could that possibly be of any benefit to you?
Yes it is true that misery loves company but that should not be the company you choose to keep. Listening to others complain about their problems is not beneficial. In fact it is a growth killer.
Setbacks come and go like a common cold. While you are going through your trials and tribulations it seems like the pain will never end but after the suffering is over you move on with your life as if nothing ever happened. Know that every day is a new day full of new opportunities and new outlooks. Also know that everyone has a purpose, everyone has a dream, therefore never let what you hear, read or see detour you from reaching your goals.
Remember, life is what you make it. You are the manager of you. What others are doing and what they have done shouldn’t concern you. There are dreams, desires and ambitions in you that no one knows about but you, it’s time to unleash them and share them with the world.
You may have been setback but now it’s time for you comeback!
I was watching Joel Osteen this past Sunday and he said something that literally blew me away. He said “Your windshield is larger than your review mirror for a reason. That’s because what’s in front of you is more important than what is behind you.” This was a powerful statement. In other words, it’s time to stop looking back.
What surprised me was the fact that Joel never blinked after he said it. This was just another day at the office for him. I mean don’t get me wrong I really like his teaching but most people would stop and wait for applause. Not Joel. He said and went on to the next statement.
I wonder if he realizes how many people’s lives he changes with that one statement. I know he definitely struck a chord with me. He helped me to realize that my new product is just what people need.
After careful planning I decided to introduce a new product called The Debt Comforter. This product is an extension of my groundbreaking book “Bound by the Debt Demon.”
In creating this product I came to realize that people get stuck and don’t know where to turn. They continue to look back and dwell in the setbacks of their situation. How do I know? I was one of those people.
My battle with debt had me completely strung out. I had books and reference material in mass abundance. But after reading all the books, attending all the seminars and watching all the DVD’s I came to realize that there were just a few simple steps that would change my life. After learning those steps I knew I would never have to look back.
The Debt Comforter has come to help break the cycle.
Due to be released on 09/19/2011
Looks Like My Mouth Wrote a Check My Behind Couldn’t Cash!
A few days ago I said that it was personal achievement time. My goal was to blast into this week with a new sense of urgency, working on my mind and my body.
Well, three days have pasted and I am sorry to report that I am no further along than I was when I made the statement. Actually I take that back. I have made provisions. I invested in all of my work out gear. I have all of my personal development books at my immediate disposal and my ambition level is through the roof.
The problem is in my scheduling, which I never took into consideration.
My daily tasks leave me overwhelmed. My timing is off and so is my schedule. Adding on an additional task only highlighted the fact that I need a plan. I need a plan of action that will allow me time to complete my daily task and engage in my daily desires.
Planning is so very essential. It’s one thing to think about doing something but it is a completely different story to execute. It looks like I forced to follow my own advice. Think Plan Do and Review. This is the key to success.
Think it out.
Plan it out.
Do it and Review it.
Remember, “Life is what you make it” and a plan makes the task that much easier.
I shall succeed!
Well, it looks like summer is about to come to a close. The last official summer holiday will be upon us in just a few days and school will be back in session. This is the time of year when we all experience mixed emotions. We hate the fact that summer is coming to a close, but we are excited to have the kids back in school.
For those who work from home the peace and quiet opens the doors to be more creative and more productive. It can also be a dreadful downfall because laziness can set in almost immediately.
My goal is to be more creative, more focused. In fact I want to take things to the next level by challenging myself. Week after week I do my best to encourage others to become more and to achieve more. Now it’s my turn!
Here’s my plan. For the next 90 days I will embark on a mind and body development quest. For my mind I plan on meditating and praying more. For my body I set up a great workout program that is sure to give me some positive results. My wish is that by the end of my 90 day journey, I will have become the very thing that I desire to be.
Gary Vaynerchuk, who is known as an expert in the wine industry once said that he wanted to know everything there was to now about wine. So in order to become a true connoisseur he reached further and had to dig a little deeper. To do this he had to develop his taste palette eating dirt, rocks and grass. Some called it crazy but he called it perfecting his craft. I want to do the same.
Over the next 90 days I will continue to update you on my progress. In fact, I encourage you to join me and share in the journey. The road ahead is not going to be easy but with faith and determination, I will succeed.
