Have you ever seen the reality show “Shark Tank?” On this show would be inventors step in front several well-respected entrepreneurs who are looking for new ideas to invest in. Some of the ideas on the show seemed like sure shot winners but for some reason or another, the panel of entrepreneurs would turn them down.

It was up to the inventor to look beyond the intimidation factor of the panel. The panel wanted to invest so they could expand their businesses and the inventor’s job was to help them see how this could be done.

In the inventors eyes the panel was nothing more than a prospect. In the panels eyes the inventor was a solution to the reason they were there in the first place.

One particular featured a guy who had produced a tablet that was a cross between a smartphone and a laptop. Unfortunately he was turned away because the sharks said the smartphone served that purpose. In fact they told him that he was a little late in the game producing a product like that.

I’m pretty sure the guy kicked himself in the head when he discovered that Steve Jobs would later create the i-Pad several months later.

You are the dreamer. You hold the keys to solving other people problems. This gives you the right to take an in-charge type posture. People seek out experts because they have the answers. One of the most important things to remember is that the world wants what you have to offer.

My message today is simple it simply says, “Follow your dreams!” Allow your dreams to sit dormant is like fig tree that bares no fruit. A fig tree that produces no fruit will show all the signs, it will be strong a sturdy, full of foliage but unless it produces fruit it is of no use to anyone. The same holds true for you if you are not going to follow your dreams and produce your fruit it will be of no use to anyone. Napoleon Hill said it best when he said, “Success requires no apologies. Failure permits no alibis.” The bottom line is that you must pursue your dreams and eliminate regrets. Remember, “Life is what you make it.”

This is a question that very few people can answer truthfully. Just because you have available credit on your credit cards doesn’t mean that you have permission to vacation. This is where many people fail. They borrow from their future in order to make provisions for today.

This is an ongoing problem that is hurting families all across the country and I understand completely. I was just as guilty. I wanted my kids to take in the entire exotic vacation experience. I wanted to see that cute look on their faces when I told them they were going to an exotic place. The pleasure of it all was enough to cause me to put my guard down on my finances. As my kids got older the vacation became more expensive. This is when the cute looks just weren’t enough.

I needed a better plan! A better budget and more cash!

This is one of the biggest problems that many people have. They refuse to find a budget and stick to it. Budgeting might seem restrictive, cumbersome or unnecessary. But the bottom line is that without a budget and/or a plan you will never know what you can truly afford.

The second biggest problem is that they refuse to add a second source of income while in the process of planning a trip. Once we understood where our money was going (budgeting), it was easy to know how much extra we needed in order to take the vacation we desired. There are so many different ways to earn extra cash, yet very few take advantage of those opportunities.

Here’s the deal, if you can truly take a vacation without exhausting your family’s budget, I commend you, because you are truly the exception to the rule. If you are not part of this minority then it’s time to make a change.

I have put together some great resources for you that just might help. Click on the link below for more information and I will see you on the beach!

Many people strive to become the best that they can possibly be. Many have achieved this goal with little or no recognition. Depending on their field of expertise, these individuals might seem very unassuming. This could also be their downfall.

I am one of those people. I work hard and I am proud of my accomplishments. Unfortunately, because I have written several books, offer advice and provide Payneless Advice, people expect more. They want more. They make a predetermined decision that I should be scholarly or arrogant. In other words, I should wear my craft on my shirt sleeve.

For example, just the other day while sitting in my local coffee shop I was introduced to a very prominent business woman. She was well known in her field but she had a few missing pieces. The young man that I was with introduced me to her, and explained to her what is was that I did. She stared at me with a blank look as if to say, “Come on, be serious, this guy?” Maybe it’s because I have the privilege to work from my home office, I can dress down and still get the job done.

This particular day happen to be a, “jeans and t-shirt” kind of day.

It was a, “I didn’t feel like shaving today” moment.

Fortunately for me I am not easily offended. I slowing began to unravel my portfolio to lady and (as usual), I watched her slowly begin to see me in a different light. In fact she looked at me and said, “Wow, you really do know your stuff.”

My point is this. First impressions can say a lot about a person. These impressions have a lasting effect. They can breed acceptance or create instant failure. What is even more shocking when it comes to first impressions is the fact that a person may never know they made a first impression. Whether you realize it or not, somebody is always watching you. They want to see how you operate, function and communicate. These impressions will help them make a quick assessment as to whether or not you are worthy of their attention. You have to seize every day, because you never know when your big break will come.

People want to be attracted to those who are confident. They want to absorb your passion for the things that you do. A winning attitude can go a long way, it can open doors that you may have never considered and it can create opportunities that may have never been presented if you had a lackluster attitude. You must always have a winning attitude. This alone will attract others to you. Play to win because everyone remembers the winner. The person who comes in second place is considered the first loser.

We all have something to offer one another, if we give each other a chance. In that regard I would suggest that you should never quickly abandon someone. Instead of leaving them, cling to them! Learn from them. You might be in for the surprise of your life.

The bottom line is that there should be no regrets of success.

I don’t know what’s happening in your neck of the woods. But from where I’m standing things are beginning to get a little rough around the edges. Homes are starting to sell again but the prices keep getting lower and lower. Companies are starting to hire but the starting wages are extremely low. People are starting to buy new cars but the price of gas is starting to go through the roof! That being said, all I can tell you is that it’s time to get serious!

As a rule I try to share encouraging information that will help uplift, inspire and motivate. However, I can see the handwriting on the wall and it doesn’t look good.

I want to be optimistic about things.

I want to believe that things will get better.

I want to believe that this is all just a dream.

Unfortunately, this is as real as it gets. There will be no sudden change that will fix what took years to tear-down. There will be no more bailouts to help you get over the hump.

Your income tax refund will only go so far. In fact most people are using their income tax return to pay past due bills.

The bottom line is that it’s time to make a change.

It’s time to get your house in order like only you can.

It’s time to make a difference and to control your own destiny.

It’s time to get serious and if you can head my words, you can move forward while the rest of the world is on standby.

What can you do?

Here are a few things to consider…

Stop relying on your job’s retirement/pension fund – Companies are starting to put an end to all pensions and retirement benefits. They are leaving the decision up to the employees. Asking them to take advantage of some type of company’s saving plan.

Stop relying on the Government – I am not a political person, but I will tell you that in the eyes of “Uncle Sam” you are just a collectable tax number.

Become your own boss – You are capable of witty inventions. You have talents skills and desires…Use them!

Create a product – You don’t have to do it as big as Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. You just have to do it.

Start a small business – Try as you might but know that a small business can make a huge difference in your yearly bottom line.

Consider this, there are those who can and then there are those who sit on the can. The decision is yours to consider. Remember, “Life is what you make it.”

There is no setback that you can face in life that doesn’t already have a comeback plan…

We have all made mistakes.

We’ve said the wrong things at the wrong time, or perhaps we did something that is just too difficult or painful to talk about.

I’m confident you can relate to this. Know that your setback of yesterday doesn’t define your tomorrow.

The successful person has the ability to overcome their mistakes, leaving them in the past and moving on to the greater things that life has to offer.

Those who have been unable to grasp this concept get trapped in their mistakes. They’re stuck, unable to move forward. The dwell on all that they have done wrong (or what’s been done wrong to them). They spend so much time in this are that it eventually starts to dominate their entire life.

If you are reading this, then it is safe to assume that you are not one of the latter mentioned individuals.

You are a go getter.

You are a trendsetter.

You love life and you excel in it!

Because you understand this concept so well, you excite others to want to do more, be more and become more.

If you are not who I think you are, I want you to know that there is a comeback plan that has been put in place for you.

It’s time to change your attitude and get rid of your stinking thinking. Your current circumstances are only temporary. However the longer you decide to dwell in them, the longer you will be left behind, hoping, wishing and missing out on all that life has to offer.

Life is what you make it, so I am challenging you to make this the best life that it can be.

I am no stranger to change. I have had to change directions on many occasions. Some people call it reinvention, but I call it following my passion. I may not be the most organized individual in the world. In fact, my life is just like many others. I have a career, I am a father, a husband, and I am also an entrepreneur. However, I can say that unlike some, I have learned to balance my many daily tasks and continually get them done.

There is no secret plan of attack or any type of methodology, I just simply set my goals and work in the direction of completion. I refuse to let anyone or anything stand in my way of completing my task. I am unstoppable in this regard. I prioritize what is important to me first, then and only then will I look beyond. Spending a great deal of my life in the trades, making the transition from tradesmen to author was no easy task. During the writing process, I was constantly reminded of how hard it is to become a writer. No matter how many times I heard this negative conversation, I continued to write. I set a goal and I refused to stop until I succeeded.

Believe it or not, writing was actually the easiest part of the equation. The true challenge comes with getting others to believe in what you have written. I have to admit change is not easy. Change for me required discipline, focus and tenacity. More importantly it required a desire to want to improve myself. The same should hold true for you. Self-improvement is an important part of life and an important part of who you are. A person can become whatever they want to become, but until they decide to change, they will continue to receive the same results. Therefore I encourage you to make that change.

Remember, “Life is what you make it.”

What do you want to achieve this year?

Now that the New Year has begun, it is time to focus on what goals you want to achieve so that 2012 will be your most successful year ever. Start out by asking yourself: Did I achieve everything I set out to do in 2011? If the answer is no, spend some time reflecting on why you didn’t accomplish everything you set out to do. Did you set a goal that you felt was attainable, but knew deep down that goal would never be achieved? Sometimes we set goals for things we feel we should strive for, but maybe we only set them because other factors tell us we should.

So think about the goals that you really want to accomplish. Where would you like to be at the end of 2012? To help you gain better clarity about what you want to achieve this year, review the Visualize What You Want section and use the exercise within the Unleash the Power of Goal Setting course content to help you get started with setting your goals or refining those you may have already set.

Now, take a few minutes to imagine yourself at this time exactly one year from now. Where are you? What is your financial situation like? What is your health like? What other achievements are you celebrating? How do you spend your time? Who do you spend your time with? If you can already visualize success and know the steps you need to take, congratulations! You are on the right path. If you look into the future and it poses more questions than direction, it’s time to get some help in setting your goals and creating a plan of action to achieve them. This New Year is full of opportunities just waiting to be discovered. Take the first step and reflect on your past. Next, visualize your success and make a plan and prepare for your best year yet!

Wonder what Jack says about exceeding your goals in 2012?

If you have the desire to be successful in 2012, tune into Jack’s upcoming, live stream event on February 28th, broadcast to you for the first-time ever online LIVE. Join Jack as he motivates you to take action on your biggest 2012 goals and break through the roadblocks that have held you back in the past, even during hard financial times. Click here to register for this powerful event and you’ll walk away with a plan to achieve the life you’ve always wanted and a path to get you there.

Become successful with the help of a Jack Canfield Coach.

If you’ve set goals before but have not been successful in keeping them, you may be discouraged about setting goals for this year. How can your results be any different in 2012? If you’re serious about your personal or financial goals, perhaps it’s time to start working with a Jack Canfield Coach. The Jack Canfield Coaching team is committed to helping you find the motivation you need to achieve your goals for 2012.
My tagline is Payneless Advice. Daily I give valuable information to help people take just one more step toward their destiny. Unfortunately, Facebook is sucking the life out of my information. It is being jumbled together with all the other Facebook noise, becoming almost nonexistent. I want to make sure that you get the best I have to offer on a regular basis.

I really despise it when people who I have absolutely no relationship with ask me to share “All” of my advice and resources. I have spent countless hours days and years learning my craft and I think it’s time for me to give my attention to those who really want what I have to offer. If you are reading this, then you are one of those individuals that I want to direct my efforts toward.

That being said, please note that I will still have a presence on Facebook and all the other social sites (Google+, LinkedIn and other social media sites) but it will be very remote.

Starting in February, my daily Payneless Advice morning motivational tips will be posted here inside Payneless Advice. The updates that I have offered on Facebook will no longer exist.

2012 plans on being a great year for the Payneless Advice camp and I want to make sure I am at my best so that I can give you my best.

I encourage you to sign up with your name and email address in the box to the right so that you can receive Payneless Advice in your email inbox. This will assure that you will never miss all of the exciting things that are taking place here inside Payneless Advice.

I couldn’t agree more. When you are passionate about what you do, no circumstance, no situation and no one can stand in your way. In other words you play to win!

More importantly, when you are passionate about what you do, people will take notice. Your talents will rise above all others and the beauty of your skillset will shine through.

What are you passionate about?

What gets you up in the morning?

Will the passion for what you love allow you to sit in a room and discuss it with others all day long?

If I were to give you a 300 page book on your topic would you want to sit down and read it?

These and many other questions just like them can be easily answered…if you are a true entrepreneur.

You are probably thinking that one can be passionate about many things and I would agree with you. However, I would ask you to look deep inside and asked yourself that question. You will find that the answer to this question is much bigger than you think.

Read the first line in the first paragraph again and ask yourself. Does your passion bring value to the world? If you are not creating value that will impact the world, then it might be time to stop calling yourself an entrepreneur.

As I stated before, when you are offering value, people take notice. They want to be part of what you are doing. They want to connect with you. They want to be part of your inner circle.

Play to Win!
