Put The “RE” Back In Your Inventions

August 9, 2010 in African American Christian,Black Christian,Christian Entrepreneur,Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Entrepreneur,Home Business,Leader,Life,Network Marketing,Roadblocks,Setbacks,Uncategorized,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,business,debt,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (0)

There comes a time in life when reinvention is the only solution to moving beyond what could be considered as a stagnant lifestyle. People reinvent themselves for various reasons (Layoffs, divorce, or maybe a death of a loved one). No matter what the reason, understand that reinvention is part of the circle of life. Unfortunately, with reinvention comes jealousy. Yes, jealousy!

People whom the tenacity to move outside the box and search out new directions are considered to be rare birds. Very few are able to make the transition from one aspect of life to another. Those who are able to make transition will face persecution from those who refuse to move. These individuals should not be part of your circle of influence.

Those who refuse to look beyond the edge of their nose will always try to bring trendsetters down.

God has given us all the ability to have witty inventions and to be able to multi task our way through life. This should always be our first priority. Moving in new directions can open new doors and increase the ability to get more out of life. Never let anyone tell say that you can’t because you can. Let the naysayer talk let the negative vibes roll off your back. Success comes in the form of reinvention. Destiny awaits and it is your job to follow in the direction of your own dream.

Ye Have Need of Patience

July 18, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Entrepreneur,Home Business,Life,MLM Leads,Network Marketing,Roadblocks,Unicity,Unicity International,Wealth Building,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (0)

Much has been said on how to become successful. Books have been written, seminars have been conducted and the mentors have spoken. The principals have been taught yet most people still suffer from one major setback in their quest. That setback is lack of funding.
Learning all the principals and concepts that come along with success and not having adequate funding to pursue them can be a major setback in the worst way. If funding is unavailable one must learn how to implement their ideas on a shoestring budget or create a passive income stream to help supplement their passion. Creating clever ways to build momentum is a must. Consistency is the key. For those who learn to overcome this obstacle, success can indeed become a reality.
The first obstacle to overcome is one of reality. You will not become an overnight success! The idea of this is nothing more than a fantasy. Everyone starts at the bottom and works their way up. Some faster than others but we all start in the same place. What you hear concerning overnight success stories is just the tip of the Iceberg. All of the blood, sweat, tears and years lay deep below the surface of the end story. For example, before a song can rank #1 on the Billboard charts, equipment has to be purchased, and a song has to be written, edited and recorded and liked by many. Before a book can become a New York Times bestseller it has to be written, published and marketed and purchased by many. (No Fans, No Sales).
Patience is a virtue and a mandatory prerequisite to those looking to become successful. In time with the right amount consistency your dreams will become a reality. The start of the process may require sacrifices but it will all be worth it in the end. Never give up no matter what. It could be one more week, one more day maybe even one more hour but in time, with patience success can and will be yours.

Are You Really A True Leader?

June 28, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Entrepreneur,Family,Home Business,Leadership,Life,Network Marketing,Uncategorized,Unicity,Wealth Building,abundance,inspiration,motivation,self-help | Comments (1)

I recently published an article that challenges church leader’s to help pave the way to a healthy church. It is of no surprise that the response to that article has been limited at best. Many people spend their entire life unable to enjoy the benefits that were put in place by the Father. Good health is an important aspect of an abundant life. Throughout Scripture there are constant warnings that says to never please the flesh, yet many people not only please the flesh but they abuse it.

I always hear leaders say that they want to have the church that takes on the nation. This is proving to be a difficult task because many of them are losing their members to premature death associated with obesity. I talk about this in my article in complete detail. You can view that article by clicking here.

The bottom line is that a change has to come. Christians are supposed to be the salt of the earth. We are supposed to lead by example showing the world the wonderful blessing of abundance that comes from above. Are you the leader that is paving the way or are you a statistic waiting to happen?

I ask that everyone who really wants to make a difference and for those who are sincere about what they preach, teach and learn to stand against an unhealthy kingdom. Too many are dying an un warranted death. It’s time to make a difference.

Frustration Is Part Of The Game

June 14, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Network Marketing,Roadblocks,Setbacks,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,inspiration,self-help | Comments (0)

I could have taken a week off. I could have left my computer off to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation. But as I sit here in the vacation villa, overlooking the golf course, listening to the putting frustrations of the many who pass by, I knew that my Payneless Advice was to valuable to let linger. I have to laugh every morning as I sit here because I know the frustrations of golf. I have a lot of experience in this arena.

Golf is like life, the golfer has a goal in mind and that is to sink the ball in the hole. Most avid golfers have had some professional training and they practice and play whenever they can. However in the game of golf as in life, what the mind thinks is not always the reality of the results. In one’s mind everything lines up perfectly, all the skills training and equipment seem to be in order but one or two distraction can ruin the whole process.

Our villa overlooks the green, which is right next to the lake. As I sit here I see the frustrations of those who lack focus. A splash in the lake water confuses them. A maintenance worker keeping the course in top shape frustrates them. It is the guy who has confidence that steps up to the green and nails the putt. You can see the focus and tenacity in their approach. Nothing shakes them, moves them or causes them to be unable to complete their goal of getting the ball in the hole.

It’s time for me to get off the patio now the temperature is rising quickly but as I prepare to enjoy my day, remember that distraction will come, they are part of life but you have to keep your eye on the end result. Those who can keep their eye on the prize will soon sink their hole in one.

Meet In The Middle

June 3, 2010 in Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Entrepreneur,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Network Marketing,Unicity,Unicity International,Wealth,Wealth Building,business,inspiration,money,motivation | Comments (1)

Every morning I get a dose of entrepreneurial adrenaline watching Eric Worre’s Network Marketing Pro show. Today was no exception. On today’s show the topic of discussion introduced a lack of direct contact and a lack of that “personal touch.” The overall idea of the discussion really boiled down to traditional marketing methods and new age technology.

There was a concern that technology would eventually dumb down the way people do business. As we continue to depend on technology, we become more and more familiar with the idea. However I know that there are those who will continue to fight the advancement of this idea and will continue to do business there own way. I appreciate their tenacity towards their own ideas. However there will come a time when they will eventually have to meet in the middle.

On today’s show Mr. Worre’s guest who was from the old school indicated that he did not own a cell phone but yet he owned an electronic drum set. I came to realize that he appreciated technology and embraced it for his enjoyment but he refused to change the way he did business. Why? It may have something to do with the idea that if something is working for you why change it.

Sooner or later we will all meet in the middle. The old will embrace the new and the new will exceed expectations. Change is always good and can lead to new ideas and new opportunities.

I told Mr. Worre not to worry about technology because eventually the old school ways of the traditionalist and the fresh ideas of the new age crowd will meet in the middle.

The Latter is Greater

May 4, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Network Marketing,Roadblocks,Setbacks,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,business,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (0)

Many people go through life hoping and expecting. They hope for change and expect to receive the promises that have been laid out before them. These types of people are what I call the motivated group. Their hope and expectations keeps them focused and pursuing their goals. They tend to not let setbacks and roadblocks keep them from moving forward.

On the other side of the coin you have those who feel like they deserve everything. They always have to remind everyone as to how they work hard everyday and make sacrifices for everyone. These types of individuals spend most of their life in disappointment. They are easily frustrated when life deals them a bad hand.

As I always say, “life is what you make it, the choice is yours to make.” Make a decision as to how you will spend your life. You can spend your life in constant disappointment or you can spend it hoping and expecting for better things to come. My prayer is that you would choose the latter of the two.

The Fear of Losing

May 1, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Network Marketing,Roadblocks,Setbacks,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,business,debt,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (1)

Many people, wonder aimlessly in fear. This fear is not because they are scared of their neighbors, monster or clowns. The fear that I am referring to is associated with failure. This failure can come in many ways. The most common is the failure of success. I have to speak truthfully, having a fear of missing one’s life target is normal but it is not the end. Many people have had setbacks that cause them to have to start over. I was one of them but I learned to adjust, make changes and bounce back from my own personal mismanagement.

During my time of folly I was obsessed with becoming successful. I made the critical mistake of thinking that my level of success was based on what I owned. Needless to say I was foolish, I lacked wisdom and was preparing myself for downward spiral that would take years of readjustment on myself my attitude, and my ideas of what success really meant.

I had to re-teach myself the meaning of an abundant life. I started reading more, learning more and listening more. This process helped me build character, self-esteem and wisdom. It also helped me realize that there was more to my life than just what I could see.

In reality, the fact that I was unsuccessful is not what really scared me. It was the fear of others knowing I had failed. Yes, I realize that this is a foolish thing to consider but based on my conversations with others, I know that I am not alone in this matter. As I indicated in the beginning of this message, many people spend their lives trying to accumulate possessions to prove the level of their success, only to find that the rest of their life is in disarray.

Balance is the key. Yes it is indeed a pleasure to have nice things. It is also nice to have wealth, but know that what you have does not dictate who you are. Things are only temporary and will diminish over time.

Learn to overcome the fear of failure. Once the fear is gone success will follow.

They Showed Me the Money

April 1, 2010 in Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Unicity,Unicity International,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,money,self-help | Comments (0)

Recently I have had a chance to look at several multilevel marketing groups (MLM) and I noticed that a lot of them attempt to serenade their prospects with titles. As a person who is not easily impressed with titles, I made a conscious decision to look into the deeper side of things, which is the money, yes the money because at the end of the day nothing else matters. A person who decides to go into any business desires to make money. There was one sales pitch that came across my desk that indicated I could win a luxury vehicle or home as a bonus but that I was responsible to pay for “my gifts” with the bonuses I received. Excuse me! Why would I want to surrender my bonuses because you want to impress potential prospects by telling them about the people in your organization who have won a luxury item? Show me the money and let me buy my own luxuries.
It should be understood that not all MLM companies share this tactic just the fly by night outfits. In fact there was one MLM that seem to hit on all the right keys. Their products had a very professional approach to them and their compensation plan was one I could understand and live on. They did not make any outrageous claims as to how Mr. X made a “Gazillion Dollars” after only six months in the business. No, the approach they used was one that I was familiar with, which was simply to work the business and reap the benefits. Maybe I am naïve or just plain stupid but in my opinion, I made the right choice and my paycheck reflects my sound decision.
Last month I indicated that no one could have told me that I would be part of an MLM but the decision join this elite network of potential entrepreneurial millionaires was well thought out. They showed me the money and I was hooked. I am having fun meeting new people and I am also being challenged to learn a business that is very unique. So far I have no problems and no complaints. Life is good and the extra cash helps cushion the pockets.

Life On GPS

March 29, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Roadblocks,Setbacks,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,business,debt,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (0)

Imagine if our entire life could be plugged into a Global Positioning System (GPS). How great that would be!  Traveling through life’s unfamiliar territory with the feeling of never being lost. Knowing where you are at all times and knowing how long it will take you to get to your destination. With just the click of a button a person could receive direction and information that would help them travel through life. GPS would also benefit in helping to avoid setbacks, congested traffic and roadblocks, regrettably life is not on GPS. Therefore we must learn to endure the roads that we travel, including the setbacks and roadblocks that come along with them, creating solutions to help us avoid them in the future.

In the world full of orange-barreled detours that can cause roadblocks and setbacks it is good to know that there is an alternative, simply by taking another road, with fewer obstructions that will eventually get you to the same place. Unfortunately no matter what road you chose you still have to deal with those pesky potholes? These cumbersome holes can cause all kinds of trouble. If you have ever run over a pothole then you know exactly what I am talking about. If you have no clue as to what a pothole is, just imagine an inverted speed bump. Hopefully that helps.

The idea here is to understand that obstacles are always present. When everything is going well and the world around you is at its all-time high potholes are still in the road. Hitting one of these potholes at times can create a major setback. These setbacks can cause you to stop, regroup and proceed with caution.

There are many things in life that could be considered a pothole but in all actuality a pothole is just another obstacle. If a person looks hard enough they will find potholes just about everywhere relationships, careers, family or church. The list can go on and on but the overall secret is to try to avoid potholes at all cost. When you have found yourself in an unavoidable situation, stay positive, stay focused and remember that a pothole is just a bump in the road.  Life’s setbacks are like potholes; you roll over them, get mad, move on and try to avoid the next one. There may be a time when your pothole may seem more like a sinkhole but the solution is the same. Roadblocks and obstacle will indeed create hindrances but they should never stop you from reaching your goal.

Dedication is the Key

March 26, 2010 in Christian living,Direct Sales,Donald Payne,Family,Home Business,Leader,Leadership,Life,MLM Leads,Unicity,Wealth,Wealth Building,abundance,inspiration,money,motivation,self-help | Comments (0)

“The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes.”  Frank Lloyd Wright

As I have gotten older I have learned to value and appreciate things a lot more. When I was younger I never consider the fact that I may one day become a dad or that I may one day become a grandfather. However I made a conscious decision to stay dedicated to the cause of my progression. This dedication is allowing me to see the success of my efforts.

In the real world I often find that people are not willing to stay dedicated to what matters most. For some it could be a marriage, for others it could be simply finishing school or following through on a career goal. The problem is that in today’s society people carry a “have it you way and have it right now” attitude.

It should be understood that there might come a time when one has to throw in the towel because things just don’t work out. However, The key to success is to stay that course and to follow the plan or the process. Everything in life takes time. Even God Himself took six days to create the earth. You may be thinking why six days when He could have done it in one? Because God had a plan of action, He had a process that He wanted to follow. He wanted to make sure everything was in order, which is important to maintain stability.

Counting the cost is important, that is why you have to have a plan. That plan has to be executed and followed. Once a person establishes a plan and starts to build momentum, it should be at that time when they start to evaluate their efforts. Giving up is easy that is why most people chose to go this route but for the one who has staying power, they are assured a place in successful history. Never give up, never quit, stay dedicated and watch your dreams become a reality.
